Committed to Making a Difference

We believe that public school success is vital to our county’s prosperity. The Foundation is working to move the needle and help every student consistently achieve positive academic and personal growth. We are dedicated to ensuring that all students have equitable opportunities to benefit from high-quality public education.

We support programs and projects across 25 districts in Monterey County. We also have 3 schools to support youth who have unique circumstances.

We believe that a community engaged in making educational excellence a priority will transform Monterey County.  Your donation is vital to our mission.

Making a Difference One Child at a Time

The Foundation @MCOE empowers youth to reach their fullest potential through a wide range of services. Corona Virus has brought many challenges to Monterey County Schools.  The first challenge is to provide the means for distance learning for all of our students- expensive WiFi at home and computers.  Our Digital Equity group is raising funds to purchase computers for low-income students to use, and supporting WiFi solutions for their parents.  Please help us raise funds for this effort.

Flying into the Future of Aviation

The Foundation @MCOE has partnered with the Bob Hoover Academy (BHA) to create the Aviation Flight program. This program through Alternative Education, offers students:

  • A full high school curriculum geared towards STEM and aviation;

  • Computers for every student;

  • Full access to student schedules around flight training operations;

  • Field testing of new AOPA high school aviation curriculum;

  • Concurrent enrollment at Hartnell Community College;

  • Work-Place Learning at Bob Hoover Academy

We are looking for help to fund tools and other materials to build a new Aviation Maintenance Pathway.  Please help us to purchase the supplies we need to help our youth learn they can 'fly' in our new Aviation Maintenance Pathway!

Paving the way for Future Business Professionals

Help to prepare our youth in a business career pathway! Our students learn alongside industry professionals to experience what a career in business would be like.  Whether they are future accountants, sales & marketing professionals or project managers, our students learn the basics, and then practice what they know inside a real business.  This opportunity helps our students to figure out what business major they are most interested in, when they enter college.

We would like to offer a small stipend to our students for their efforts.  No one should work for free, even if they are learning.  Please help us to prepare the next generations of successful entrepreneurs!
